If you own a vehicle then you want to make sure that it is insured, both for your safety and that of your family,
right? Right???
Lately I've been hearing from certain individuals who don't have car insurance, either because they don't want to pay for it or honestly
can't afford it.
These people need to understand that they need insurance. It is foolish to think otherwise because accidents are all too common today.
That is why it is crucial to decide on which insurance provider suits your needs.
For years insurance agents have been very competitive for new clients. As soon as you walk into their office they start selling their product, but don't be fooled into taking the first offer you get. Be advised that there are plenty of other insurance companies out there that can give you a good deal. You can now actually just view online quotes for your car instead of visiting office after
office.
The most known car insurance providers, commercials for which are constantly appearing on national TV, are Allstate, Progressive, Geico, AAA, State Farm and
Esurance.
They have a very clever ways of marketing their product. They go as far as showing humorous characters such as the "Cave Men" who recently got their own T.V. show. There are also serious glimpses of what happens when one get's into a car accident. These pretend to realistically depict people handling car accidents, but they don't show how it really
is. Dealing with an accident will not be fun, no matter how good your insurance
might be. You need to be
ready.
When you shop, you should know what kind of policy you are being offered and how the company will treat you. According to the website "24/7 Quote" the top auto insurance providers in the state of California are Progressive, Esurance, Geico
and Insurance.com.
Another website I looked into called Cars.com stated that the leading ones were Unitrin Direct, Insweb, Allstate and Insurance.com. Who is to say which list is right? You will have to do your homework.
Since Geico was listed as one of the top companies I tried getting a quote from them to compare it with my current policy. I have Progressive, and I pay one hundred and sixty monthly for full coverage.
Geico offered full coverage for only one hundred and forty monthly.
There are many factors that go into your quote of course. College students get a discount if they have been safe drivers and have a GPA of 3.0. The 16-24 year-old group pays more for insurance because of their high
