Following his 2004 Athens performance, Michael Phelps was charged for a drunk and driving incident. Following his 2008 elite performance, Michael is now involved in a picture where he is smoking marijuana out of a bong.
Michael is due to make over a $100 million dollars in advertisements from Speedo, Omega, Subway, Visa, Kellogg, and Nike.
Kellogg is the only company that seems to be dismissing Phelps's deal, Kellogg stated, "Phelps's image is not consistent with the image of Kellogg.''
United States Swimming has also suspended Phelps's for three months. With young Americans looking up to him from all around the world the pressure is beginning to mount.
Phelps has admitted to being the male in the image posted above, but has pro-mised the world once again that he is finished with horsing around. Some wonder if Phelps actions have risen to the level of another former image dealing athlete Kobe Bryant, who was once accused of raping a female in Colorado a few years ago.
Following his Olympian performance and gaining the amount of support from young adults he did, is Phelps's actions post Oly-mpics the ruins of his legacy? The pressure is rising from advertisements, news, and the sports fans of A-merica. Phelps's must be careful and not fall feet first.

Just because Phelps was caught on camera ("involved in a picture [sic]") taking a toke from a bong hardly makes him "America's dope boy", whatever that may be. (Continued…)

The writer and the paper need to get the facts correct. Michael Phelps is not under contract to Nike.
