How would you like to receive a free $20 gift certificate from The Record Alley or even a free acoustic guitar, along with free music lessons from Musician's Outlet? FAME (Film, Art, Music, Entertainment) Connection, a College of the Desert (COD) club, is offering students just that.

On Saturday, May 23rd at 4 P.M. FAME Connection will be hosting their annual Talent Show; the event will be held in the COD Pollock Theatre with an admission of $3. Students participating in the event will receive up to five minutes to showcase their talent. If successful in impressing the judges, students will have an opportunity to take home a $300 first place prize, a $200 second place prize, or a $100 third place prize.

Is performing publicly not your forte? Don't let that stop you from attending this talent-exposing event. Stu-dents in the audience should bring along their rabbit's foot or wear their lucky socks because FAME Con-nection will have a prize drawing available to audience members. Prizes in-clude goodies from Pat & Oscars, The Record Alley, Souplantation and Mus-ician's Outlet.
