Even though registration for summer and fall classes began May 6 for Priority 1, it is not too late to register for courses.
Unlike last winter, College of the Desert (COD) is offering two intersession options lasting six and eight weeks. The courses start June 15 and are available at three locations: the Palm Desert campus, the Indio campus, and the new campus site in Mecca-Thermal.

John Loera, Dean of Enrollment Services, encourages students to re-register for courses this summer. "Summer is a good opportunity for students to catch up on credits toward graduation or certificate completion," Loera said. He added that, despite concerns of cancellation, COD will definitely be open this summer.

The six-week courses run through July 23 while eight week courses will end Au-gust 6. Fall classes begin August 31.
The Priority 2 registration date was May 8. Priority 3 is tomorrow, May 12. Open enrollment and registration for new students is May 18, For detailed information on how to register, new students can call (760) 776-7222 or go to:
www.cccapply.org

According to Tom Wixon, the Eastern Valley center in Indio offers nine credit classes in subjects such as English, Speech, Math, History, and Psychology. There are four credit courses at the Mecca-Thermal campus in English, Reading, Math, and Psychology. English as a second language courses are also available on both satellite campuses.
